Liver/Kidney Clean from Four Leaf Rover is like spring cleaning for your dog's most important organs. It is a veterinary formulated blend of organic mushrooms, foods and herbs that support and maintain normal liver and kidney function.
Every day, dogs are exposed to toxins in their food, water and environment. This toxic "waste" includes lead and heavy metals, glyphosate and other pesticides, as well as fluoride, PCBs, plastics and other common chemicals.
The liver and kidneys break these toxins down and help exit them from the body. But, over time, they can be impacted by the toxins and start to decline. This puts not just the liver and kidneys at risk, but all of your dog's organs.
Liver/Kidney Clean contains a proprietary blend of organic mushroom extracts. This blend contains:
- Organic Cordyceps Mushroom Extract - Contains polysaccharides that have been shown to protect the liver and kidney from toxins and heavy metals.
- Organic Maitake Mushroom Extract - Shown to inhibit fatty liver disease.
- Organic Reishi Mushroom Extract - Shown to protect the liver and kidney from free radical and oxidative damage.
- Organic Shiitake Mushroom Extract - Improves liver function.
- Organic Broccoli Sprouts - a rich and natural source of sulforaphane, which protects the liver and activates phase II liver detoxification.
- Organic Milk Thistle Seed - contains the compound silymarin, which improves liver and kidney function.
- Organic Burdock Root - a natural diuretic that helps clean the kidneys and liver.
- Organic Yellow Dock Root - gently cleanses the liver, spleen and kidneys.
- Organic Dandelion Root - a kidney tonic that helps the kidneys filter toxins and reduces stress on the liver.
- Organic Marshmallow Root Extract - Helps cleanse the kidneys and bladder and reduces inflammation in the mucous membrane, which can help ease the passage of kidney stones.
- Natural Curcumin - Can improve lipid metabolism in the kidneys and help produce enzymes that break down toxins in the liver.
How often should I give this to my dog?
Four Leaf Rover explain that you can give the recommended amount up to twice daily for between 3 and 4 weeks to provide a gentle liver and kidney cleanse for your dog. They recommend watching your dog's response to the product and tailoring the amount for them. Twice daily will be okay for some dogs but dogs with a more sensitive system may only need it once per day to maintain detoxing.
This product is meant to provide a gentle detox and not stimulate a strong detox reaction. Some discharges may occur naturally (nasal, eyes, ears) but the animal should feel fine.
If your dog shows signs of a more serious detox reaction (Herxheimer type – flu-like symptoms) that can result from inflammation due to the release of endotoxins from potential bacteria die off. In this instance try reducing the amount being given or stop for a couple of days and reintroduce slowly and things should correct themselves.

How are your mushrooms grown?: All of Four Leaf Rover’s mushrooms are grown on wood, not on grain like most of their competitors. Whole mushrooms are richer in their health-boosting compounds, including beta-glucans, hericenones and erinacines.
The mushrooms are double-tested for safety, both after harvest and before being put into jars.
What side effects should I expect?: There are no known side effects to taking Liver/Kidney Clean. If your dog experience any side effects, please consult with your veterinarian.
Does Liver/Kidney Clean interfere with other liver medications?: While Four Leaf Rover are unaware of any medications that Liver/Kidney Clean interferes with, if your dog is taking medications that you are concerned about then you should consult with your veterinarian before feeding them Liver/Kidney Clean.
