It's the natural way to support a healthy gut in dogs and to support the detoxification of heavy metals, pesticides and other environmental toxins.

What is Protect?
Protect supports a healthy digestive tract and the immune function. With proven soil-based organisms and natural prebiotics. With a total of 7 billion CFUs. Protect is ideal for healthy dogs as well as dogs with digestive or in need of additional support for the immune system.
- Soil-based Probiotics: Soil based probiotics of Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus coagulans are known for their ability to support a healthy gut microbiome, support digestive health and support immune function. Soil-based probiotics are better at surviving the stomach acids than traditional probiotics. Their inherent stability means they don't require refrigeration and maintain potency over time and their robust nature allows for a potentially broader impact on the gut microbiome.
- Saccharomyces boulardii: Saccharomyces boulardii is a probiotic yeast that has been shown to support gut health, especially during antibiotic use and travel. It helps maintain the natural flora in the gastrointestinal tract, supporting immune function.
- Certified Organic Wild Blueberry Powder: Wild Blueberries contain more antioxidants than other berries and are very rich in a specific antioxidant called anthocyanins, which support a healthy heart and brain. Blueberries also help maintain a healthy gut flora. Four Leaf Rover choose organic blueberries to minimise exposure to synthetic pesticides and fertilisers, providing a safer and healthier option for your dog.

- Humic Acid: Humic acid is a natural component of soil and a byproduct of the decomposition of leaves and other plant material by soil-based microorganisms. Humic acid supports a healthy gut, it supplies antioxidants and supports the immune system.
- Fulvic Acid: Like humic acid, fulvic acid is a part of the organic matter in soil, peat and water. Fulvic acid supports the body's detoxification process, enhances nutrient absorption, supports healthy skin and provides antioxidants.
- Organic Dandelion Root: Dandelion root is known for its liver-supporting and detoxifying properties, thus supporting liver health. A kidney tonic that helps the kidneys filter toxins.
- Organic Burdock Root: Burdock root supports healthy skin and is antioxidant-rich. Burdock root also supports liver function and digestion, due to its inulin content, a type of soluble fiber that supports healthy gut bacteria.

All Four Leaf Rover products are completely natural and they do not use any fillers or synthetics that other companies may use to extend the life of them. Because of this, their products may seem to have a shorter shelf life. They do keep longer than this date if stored correctly however FLR follow the guidelines the National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) to stay in compliance with their certification and to ensure the freshest products possible.

Can I give my puppy Protect?: In most cases, if you have a new puppy, it’s best to focus on fresh whole food nutrition for a good start to life. But in some cases, probiotics can be helpful. If your puppy is changing from a processed diet, then a probiotic can help support good digestion.
Why does Protect contain fewer bacteria than other probiotics? Soil-based probiotics are spore-forming, which means they can form a hard coating that protects them from the high heat and stomach acids that typically damage most probiotics. It also helps them colonise in the colon where they belong, not in the small intestine.
How do I know if my dog needs probiotics? : Since 80% of the immune system lives in the gut, most dogs can benefit from probiotics. Probiotics are live organisms that provide health benefits. These beneficial bacteria have a few key jobs in your dog’s body. Gut bacteria can help:
- Support food digestion
- Produce key vitamins (including Vitamin K and Vitamin B)
- support the "good" bacteria in your GI tract
- Support the immune system
What is Saccharomyces boulardii? Saccharomyces boulardii is considered a probiotic because it benefits the gut and immune system like a probiotic. But it's actually a healthy yeast, not a bacterium.
As a probiotic yeast, S. boulardii it is hardy and has been shown to support gut health during antiobiotic use.
Can Protect be taken whilst on Antibiotics? Soil-based probiotics are recommended to be given while on antibiotics to help maintain good bacteria. The Bacilli strains of probiotics are spore-forming and their hard coating that protects them from most antibiotics.
I noticed white specs in the blend, what causes this? Protect has little white specks, which are the probiotics and prebiotics.
Why is my jar of Protect a different color than the last one? You can expect a natural variation in the colour of Protect due to the bentonite clay and other earthy ingredients. It’s perfectly normal.
Should I keep Protect in the fridge? If you have room, its is recommend keeping Protect in the fridge. While the soil-based probiotics are shelf stable, the Saccharomyces boulardii is more fragile. If you can’t store it in your fridge, just be sure to keep in a cool, dark place and use the jar within 30 days of opening.

An Overview of Returns and Refunds
Unless faulty, you can only return a product if unopened, unused and with the original seals, packaging or tags intact. Unfortunately, it is also not possible to issue a refund for a supplement that your pet doesn't like or doesnt agree with them. All animals are unique with their own likes and dislikes.
You can return an unwanted item for a full refund (including minimum postage costs you could have chosen when placing your order) within 14 days of receiving it. You must notify us of your intention to cancel the order and you must return the item to us within 14 days of notifying us.
When returning an item, please ensure you take reasonable care as any damage in transit will result in us being unable to refund part or all of the money that you have paid. You are responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted item to us. Using Royal Mail “Send and Item with Click & Drop” is an option, as this enables you to have your order collected from your house. Further details can be found here: https://send.royalmail.com/

Refunds are typically processed within 2 days of receipt of a returned item, but under certain circumstances, such as busy /holiday periods, your refund may take longer to process. The 14- day limit to request a refund does not apply to any item which is faulty, unfit for purpose, or not as described at the time you placed the order. For damaged and faulty items, you have 30 days to contact us. We will cover the cost of these returns and once received will process a full refund.
