These pre and probiotics are derived from the soil and sea. By feeding them to our animals, we are providing them with the essential bacteria that have been lost through the sterilization techniques of modern farming. Soil Based Probiotics
These probiotics from primordial organic soils provide natural, ancestral protection. They help to repair the gut and support proper gut function. Especially beneficial for animals with SIBO, as there are no Lactobacillus or Bifidobacterium bacteria, which propagate in the small intestine, exacerbating the problem. Instead, they remain intact until they reach the lower intestine and colon. These probiotics are an important part of the ancestry of all living things, not just our animals.
Prebiotic Chlorella
This prehistoric strain of chlorella has been independently researched by Adored Beast as a functional prebiotic that supports the viability of probiotics!
Chlorella is a great source of protein and all nine essential amino acids. It also contains several compounds with antioxidant properties, including chlorophyll, vitamin C, beta-carotene, lycopene and lutein.
It has been shown to help improve cognitive function, support bone, joint and muscle health, assist with cardiovascular health, promote healthier skin and hair growth, and help detoxify heavy metals from the body.
Humic & Fulvic Acid
These ancient organic minerals are vital for cell health and longevity. Humic and fulvic acid provide trace minerals, antioxidants, powerful phytochemicals and amino acids. They also support detoxification by binding to heavy metals.
Humic acid also helps fight inflammation, promotes prime absorption of food and supports the immune system. Fulvic acid increases cell membrane permeability, allowing a greater amount of bioavailable nutrients to enter cells.

An Overview of Returns and Refunds
Unless faulty, you can only return a product if unopened, unused and with the original seals, packaging or tags intact. Unfortunately, it is also not possible to issue a refund for a supplement that your pet doesn't like or doesnt agree with them. All animals are unique with their own likes and dislikes.
You can return an unwanted item for a full refund (including minimum postage costs you could have chosen when placing your order) within 14 days of receiving it. You must notify us of your intention to cancel the order and you must return the item to us within 14 days of notifying us.
When returning an item, please ensure you take reasonable care as any damage in transit will result in us being unable to refund part or all of the money that you have paid. You are responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted item to us. Refunds are typically processed within 2 days of receipt of a returned item, but under certain circumstances, such as busy /holiday periods, your refund may take longer to process. The 14- day limit to request a refund does not apply to any item which is faulty, unfit for purpose, or not as described at the time you placed the order. For damaged and faulty items, you have 30 days to contact us. We will cover the cost of these returns and once received will process a full refund.
How does this differ from other Adored Beast Probiotics?
The pre and probiotics in this formula are completely vegan, and come from lower down the food chain, meaning they offer a diverse variety of bacteria not found in our other probitoics. They provide the bacterial diversity that was once common prior to the introduction of sterilizing farming practices (washing our fruits and vegetables). This makes it a vital part of any probiotic rotation. The addition of chlorella and humic and fulvic acid also provide numerous benefits.
Why is this helpful for SIBO?
Typical probiotics on the market often contain lactobacillus and bifidobacillis. When a dog has SIBO, those probiotics can propagate in the small intestine, exacerbating the problem and actually make it worse. Instead, the probiotics in Soil & Sea remain intact until they reach the lower intestine and colon. Additionally, sugars from typical prebiotics like maltodextrin can also make SIBO worse, and these prebiotics do not contain those same elements, thereby limiting the sugars in the body.
Is Soil & Sea intended for short or long term use?
Adored Beast always recommend rotating probiotics to help address all systems in the body. Because it provides additional bacterial strains, we suggest adding it to your rotation.
Is this ok for animals with thyroid issues (because of iodine)?
Chlorella is freshwater sourced and naturally low in iodine. There is no concern for animals diagnosed with thyroid issues, as it’s a low iodine algae to begin with and it’s not intended to be a food source in this formula (hence the cell wall is still intact), it’s purpose is to provide prebiotic benefits. But, as always, we recommend discussing any supplements you’re thinking of adding with your vet.
What is the shelf life? - 18 months
Should there be a seal between the lid and the powder? Adored Beast do have a pressure seal that is put into the lid but it's not heat sealed to the rim, it's meant to keep moisture out. There is a security sea, that is the shrink wrapped on the outside. All their probiotics are freeze dried purposefully so they remain shelf stable so unless they are moisturized, they would be fine. Please keep the pouch in the tub to help maintain it freshness.
