Why does the powder colour vary between packets of the same supplement?
Natural variation is expected in supplements that don’t contain artificial fillers. Factors such as harvest time, weather, soil, and ingredient combinations all influence colour. This is especially true for plant based ingredients like hemp, which can range from brown to green, depending on the batch.
What vitamins are good for a dog's immune system?
Did you know that around 80% of a dog’s immune system resides in the gut? That’s why supporting your dog’s gut health is essential. A healthy digestive system helps lay the foundation for a strong immune response, contributing to a healthier, happier life.
What you feed your dog significantly impacts their overall well-being, so getting the right balance of nutrients is key. This is where dog vitamin supplements can play an important role.
Many vitamins and minerals contribute to a well-functioning immune system. For the best results, look for dog multivitamin formulas made with bioavailable ingredients that the body can absorb and use effectively, like those found across the ProDog supplement range.
While there are many essential nutrients involved in immune function, here are just a few examples and what they do:
Zinc – Helps maintain immune function, supports healing, and contributes to healthy skin and coat.
Iron – Delivers oxygen to the organs and muscles, essential for energy and metabolic function.
Magnesium – Involved in multiple bodily processes, including nerve and muscle function, blood sugar regulation, and heart health. It also helps calm the nervous system.
Vitamin D – Essential for immune system regulation and joint health. Dogs can’t synthesise vitamin D from sunlight, so it must be sourced from their diet. Low levels have been linked to increased health risks, and some medications—like steroids—can lower vitamin D levels.
Taurine – Plays a key role in heart and gallbladder health.
These are just a handful of the nutrients included in this carefully formulated dog supplement range. Boost, for example, is a unique multivitamin powder designed for dogs, combining antioxidants, probiotics, and bioavailable dog vitamins and minerals to help maintain overall vitality and immune resilience.
