Verm-x is a 100% natural formulation that controls intestinal hygiene whilst being gentle on the animal’s gut and digestive system. They are highly palatable as well as effective.

Verm-X Crunchies for Dogs are designed to be fed every day throughout the year. This means that you do not need to buy additional reward or treat products for your dogs as this Verm-X formulation can act as an traditional treat whilst functioning as a continual intestinal hygiene control.

Verm-x Dog Crunchies are:

  • highly effective formulation made from natural and non-GM ingredients approved for use on organic farms
  • contains no wheat, no gluten and no cereal
  • Highly palatable formulation that your dogs will love
  • Gentle on dogs digestive system so ideal if your dog's digestion is sensitive. Verm-X works over a more natural timescale rather than an immediate purge that means it does not blast everything out of the system at once but over a period of 21 days in which it becomes fully effective. This allows Verm-X to be much gentler on the animals gut and digestive system.
  • Verm-x is safe to use on animals that are pregnant, ideal for senior pets and for those animals in competition.
  • Ideal for dogs on a raw diet.

Feed Verm-x Dog Crunchies every day throughout the year, as follows:

  • Small Breeds (i.e. Jack Russell) - 2 per day
  • Medium Breeds (i.e. Labrador) - 4 per day
  • Large Breeds (i.e. Newfoundland) - 6 per day

Available in three sizes with approximate contents as follows:- 100g (60 crunchies) and 325g (196 crunchies) and 650g (392 crunchies).  So for example a 100g tube will last a small dog one month. A tub of 650g will last a medium dog (labrador) approximately just over 3 months.

Puppies - do not feed Verm-x to puppies until they are 3 months old and then only feed half the amount. At age 6 months they can go onto the full amount.

WHEN AND WHY WAS VERM-X DEVELOPED?

Owner of Verm-x stated that: “My first step was to contact the National Institute of Medical Herbalists in London who informed me that prior to pharmaceuticals being available herbs were the standard practice used in animal husbandry. I started by working with the then Chairman of the Institute to find suitable herbal recipes for effective herbal worm treatments which we branded under the name of Verm-X.  In a nutshell we have developed formulations with herbs that have been used for 1000s of years and that have stood the test of time.

We have simply made natural formulations easily available to provide any animal owner a choice. That choice is whether to use a pharmaceutical or a herbal and organic approach to their husbandry routines.

We are often asked why we do not make our research papers available or why we do not label Verm-X as a wormer. Verm-X is not a registered pharmaceutical product. In the EU there are strict guidelines, governed in the UK by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate, that restrict the use of words and information, such as our research and studies, that may portray a product as a registered medicine if it is not. We at Verm-X have worked closely with the VMD since our launch to ensure we comply with these regulations.”

 Q&As

My dog has a chicken allergy amongst others, can I use Verm-X? Yes, with poultry allergies it is the chicken meat that contains allergens or allergy-producing substances that are called ‘purines.’ As we use poultry meal and not the meat, purines are not present to cause the allergies. If in doubt do consult your vet and introduce Verm-X slowly into the diet.  If in doubt do consult your vet and introduce Verm-X slowly into the diet.

Your product has garlic in it. I though this was toxic to Cat and Dogs? The Verm-X range does contain garlic but the quantities are small and therefore generally safe to use. For example, in a small dog e.g 10kg body weight, 50g of garlic would need to be fed to cause toxicity. Our dose is 0.036g daily, which equals 0.072% of the toxic dose. At this level, we feel toxicity is very unlikely, even with daily dosing.

My dog has a gluten, wheat and cereal allergy and has to be fed a ‘sensitive’ type of dog food. Can I feed Verm-X? Yes, Verm-X Dog Crunchies are gluten, wheat and cereal free and are ideal for animals with sensitive digestive systems as the Verm-X included is also very soothing and beneficial to the gut health. If in doubt we would recommend the use of out Verm-X Dog Liquid which is simply a blend of the herbs that we use in the canine blend in a macerated form.
