Adored Beast Liver Tonic for Dogs and Cats is an essential liver support/detoxifier, making it an excellent organ support for dogs and cats.It:

Suitable for dogs 6 months and older.

Adored Beast Apothecary recommend starting on the lower side of the recommended daily intake and to continue this for 1-2 weeks, gradually working up to the full recommended daily intake. Every animal is unique. When adding a new supplement to your pet's regime, consider keeping a journal of changes.

Directions:

Squirt directly into mouth - DO NOT PUT THE GLASS DROPPER DIRECTLY INTO YOUR ANIMALS MOUTH THEY CAN BREAK IF BITTEN OR can be given during or after mealtime. Administer twice per day according to your pet’s weight. Refrigerate after opening. 

Dogs & Cats 0 - 4 lbs: 0.25ml twice per day
Dogs & Cats 5 - 60 lbs: 0.5ml twice per day
Dogs 60+ lbs: 1ml twice per day

Up to 60lb dog - 1 bottle will last 60 days

Over 60lb dog - 1 bottle will last 30 days

Use the entire content of the bottle 2-3 times a year. For dogs and cats under 6 months use half of the bottle 2 - 3 times a year.

Can be used daily for ongoing issues, such as high liver enzymes, or 2-3 times per year for maintenance to help support normal function and health of the liver, kidneys, pancreas, and gallbladder.

When giving for maintenance, for dogs and cats under 6lbs, use half the bottle (at the recommended daily amounts). For others, use the whole bottle (at the recommended daily amounts).

In chronic cases where symptoms do not begin to improve within 10 days, it is best to consult your veterinarian

Do not use in cases of pregnancy. If animal’s condition worsens or does not improve, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian.

 
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will this "detox” my pet?: It will help to support your animal's liver, kidneys, gallbladder, and pancreas. All of these organs are paramount in the detoxification process so by supporting them, it helps those organs to detoxify in a healthy way. We have seen great results in helping the liver to work at detoxifying against drugs and chemicals. For example, antibiotics, steroids, NSAIDs, and flea and tick meds.

Will my pet experience uncomfortable side effects?: The wonderful thing about this product is that it is so gentle yet so effective. We have not had any experience with any animals feeling uncomfortable. In fact, it is the opposite! Often the animal will feel so much better because the are gently and correctly detoxifying!

Will this interfere with other liver medications?: We have used it for years with animals that are on all kinds of liver medications but it is ALWAYS best to check with your veterinarian if your animal is on any medication.

Feedback on the use of the pipette: At the beginning of Covid, Adored Beast like so many other companies, ran into major supply chain issues. Adored Beast's previous provider of glass, graduated droppers was no longer able to fulfill their orders, and thus they had to move to non-graduated droppers; presenting a problem. Multiple tests determined that because everyone applies different pressure to the bulb when dropping the tincture, there were disparities in total drop amounts. The total mls fluctuated depending on that pressure. One person’s 16 drops could be very different from another’s. The issue then becomes, if someone does very small drops, and their animal needs 16 drops, they may not actually be getting the full recommended dose.

So, to mitigate the issue, Adored Beast increased the recommended drops to the average they were dropping to meet the recommended dose. This way, every animal, regardless of the pressure used to administer drops, was getting enough of the formula to meet their needs. It’s a very, very gentle formulation as it was formulated to support bodies that needed to be on chronic medications, so it was created in a way that it would not be harmful at all if it needed to be used regularly. So, even if an animal gets a little (or even a lot) more than recommended, there would be no issue at all.

If you’ve previously used Liver Tonic and know that your beloved beast does well on 16 drops, go back to that. That is their sweet spot. You know best what works for your animal, and Adored Beast would recommend continuing with a protocol that best suits them. Please know that Adored Beast are still working hard to find a better solution for this. This is not ideal, but at least they know that each dog is getting what they need.

Orders over £48.99 (weighing less than 4kg) are sent on a Royal Mail Tracked 48 service. There is however the option to upgrade your shipping at checkout as follows:

Orders over £200 will be shipped on a priority service and detailed at checkout. 

Orders weighing more than 4kg will need to be sent via APC at an increased cost.

An Overview of Returns and Refunds

Unless faulty, you can only return a product if unopened, unused and with the original seals, packaging or tags intact. Unfortunately, it is also not possible to issue a refund for a supplement that your pet doesn't like or doesnt agree with them. All animals are unique with their own likes and dislikes. 

You can return an unwanted item for a full refund (including minimum postage costs you could have chosen when placing your order) within 14 days of receiving it. You must notify us of your intention to cancel the order and you must return the item to us within 14 days of notifying us.

When returning an item, please ensure you take reasonable care as any damage in transit will result in us being unable to refund part or all of the money that you have paid.  You are responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted item to us. Refunds are typically processed within 2 days of receipt of a returned item, but under certain circumstances, such as busy /holiday periods, your refund may take longer to process.  The 14- day limit to request a refund does not apply to any item which is faulty, unfit for purpose, or not as described at the time you placed the order. For damaged and faulty items, you have 30 days to contact us. We will cover the cost of these returns and once received will process a full refund.
