Multi-Strain Probiotic blend : Probiotics enhance the immune response of the digestive tract. Lactic acid bacteria produce lactic acid which inhibits yeast growth by lowering intestinal pH and blocks the receptors or adhesion sites of pathogens, creating a barrier against infectious organisms. 30 billion allergen-free CFU (colony forming units) to defend against harmful gut bacteria by repopulating the digestive system with friendly bacteria.
Slippery Elm Bark: For hundreds of years, Native Americans have used Slippery Elm Bark for its beneficial and soothing properties. Slippery Elm is a large, deciduous tree native to Eastern North America known for its mucilaginous, strengthening, and nutritive properties. Slippery elm is a master demulcent. It exerts a soothing effect on mucous membranes of digestive, respiratory, and urinary tracts.
Marshmallow Root - similar benefits to slippery elm
L-Glutamine Amino Acid : A component of healthy connective tissue and mucous membranes, it supports healthy mucous membranes and linings in the respiratory and digestive tracts, nutritionally supports healthy digestion and gut issues. It supports the strength of the mucosal lining and the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract and acts as a protector against the irritants that cause damage.
Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice : Licorice root, which is considered one of the world's oldest herbal remedies, comes from the root of the licorice plant. Licorice Root/DGL is a form of licorice that is safe for those with high blood pressure, as it has the glycyrrhizin constituent removed. It benefits the gastric mucosa by improving circulation, supporting the secretion of the protective mucosal layer, and promoting the growth of new mucosal cells.
Larch Arabinogalactan: Prebiotic Larch Arabinogalactan is a larch tree extract that supports colon health. It also known for stimulating the immune system. It is also commonly used for infections.
Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera is known for its positive effects on the skin and intestinal tract. Its primary internal use is for soothing the GI tract and helping stools to become less firm. Topically Aloe Vera gel is used for minor burns, minor wounds and other minor skin issues. Aloe Vera is naturally rich in amino acids, enzymes, vitamin C, and a wide range of minerals.
N-Acetylglucosamine (fermented cornstarch) found naturally in the mucous membranes of digestive, urinary and respiratory tracts. Helps to support the production of glycoproteins, supports the structural integrity of respiratory tract, digestive tract and urinary tract protects against invading organisms.

Adored Beast Apothecary recommend starting on the lower side of the recommended daily intake and to continue this for 1-2 weeks, gradually working up to the full recommended daily intake. Every animal is unique. When adding a new supplement to your pet's regime, consider keeping a journal of changes.

An Overview of Returns and Refunds
Unless faulty, you can only return a product if unopened, unused and with the original seals, packaging or tags intact. Unfortunately, it is also not possible to issue a refund for a supplement that your pet doesn't like or doesnt agree with them. All animals are unique with their own likes and dislikes.
You can return an unwanted item for a full refund (including minimum postage costs you could have chosen when placing your order) within 14 days of receiving it. You must notify us of your intention to cancel the order and you must return the item to us within 14 days of notifying us.
When returning an item, please ensure you take reasonable care as any damage in transit will result in us being unable to refund part or all of the money that you have paid. You are responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted item to us. Refunds are typically processed within 2 days of receipt of a returned item, but under certain circumstances, such as busy /holiday periods, your refund may take longer to process. The 14- day limit to request a refund does not apply to any item which is faulty, unfit for purpose, or not as described at the time you placed the order. For damaged and faulty items, you have 30 days to contact us. We will cover the cost of these returns and once received will process a full refund.
Do I have to use the entire container or do I stop using once symptoms disappear?: When you are trying to address any health issue with Adored Beast products it is good to do a minimum of 6 weeks as they have taken the approach of many authentic herbalists that the body needs to an average of 6 weeks to process the healing response.
With certain conditions it is often the case that you will need to rotate Gut Soothe with Love Bugs or Healthy Gut. Adored Beast have many animals taking it long term because they feel so much better when they are on it.
Do I stop using other probiotics?: It is not necessary to be on additional probiotics but if you are currently giving one it doesn't hurt to finish or slowly wean off rather than just stopping something abruptly your animal has been getting. One thing to note is that the probiotic blend in Gut Soothe is quite strong as it delivers 30 Billion CFUs (colony forming units) per serving for a medium-sized dog. Too many probiotics can cause loose stool, so if you are currently giving one, be mindful of that!
Will this interact with any other medications?: Gut Soothe should not be given to animals that are on anticoagulant drugs. It is always advisable to check with your veterinarian if your animal is being treated for an existing condition or if they are on medication of any kind.
Can I give Give Soothe with other medications?
Adored Beast often suggest, if there are concerns regarding pharmaceutical-type medications, giving Gut Soothe 1 -2 hours after the drug so it's had adequate time to absorb. This is because research suggests that the mucilage content in marshmallow root creates a protective layer on the lining of the digestive tract, the same as slippery elm. This mucilage traps and absorbs water, forming a gel-like substance that can coat mucous membranes, providing short-term relief of pain and inflammation. There is also thought that this may affect nutrient absorption.
If you have a concern, give Gut Soothe in some bone broth or kefir, away from medications.
What is the difference between Gut Soothe and Healthy Gut?
Both products have the same base – the pre and probiotic blend that makes up Love Bugs. Gut Soothe has the added herbal components and Healthy Gut has the added digestive enzyme components.
Does this need to be refrigerated after opening?:The product is freeze-dried, so while refrigeration is not necessary, we believe it will help to maintain optimal freshness.
Does this expire?: Yes, please check the bottom of the jar for the best before date.
How long will this product last once opened? Once opened the product should be good until the expiry date, but this willl depend on the humidity around and the more you open the jar, the more moisture absorption it will get. You are good to use it until you see the changing in appearance or smell of the product, that is when probiotics absorb enough moisture and it starts to activate.
Should there be a seal between the lid and the powder? Adored Beast do have a pressure seal that is put into the lid but it's not heat sealed to the rim, it's meant to keep moisture out. There is a security seal, that is the shrink wrapped on the outside. All their probiotics are freeze dried purposefully so they remain shelf stable so unless they are moisturized, they would be fine. Please keep the pouch in the tub to help maintain it freshness.
